Wandy, William “Bill,”- July 30, 1939 – December 29, 2020, of Roblin, passed away peacefully, at St. Paul Lutheran Care Home, in Melville, Saskatchewan at the age of 81 years.
Bill was born the son of Metro and Annie Wandy (nee Malinowski) of Calder.
Bill has held several jobs in various locations throughout his life. After school, Bill worked on his family farm, as well as other local farms. He worked on the rigs and in mines in various locations, such as Wyoming, Colorado, Estevan, British Columbia, and Yukon. He then settled in Roblin and worked for Canadian National Railroad and hauled fuel for long-time friend and hunting partner, John Burtnack. He spent 29 years working for the Town of Roblin Public Works as a loader operator.
Bill married Diane (Kasprowicz) on June 29, 1974, and together they raised three boys.
Bill enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes, and golfing. He enjoyed gardening and was known for his perfectly lined gardens. He never turned down a game of cards or his favourite dice game, Farkle. Bill enjoyed watching his sons participate in sports, especially baseball.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane; three sons, Darcy (Jackie), Darren (Sharon), Dwayne (Tammy), seven cherished grandchildren; Parker, Kinley, Nate, Nash, Nya, Mett, and Piper; siblings Mike (Emily) and Susie Kindiak, as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Metro and Annie, brothers; Pete and Nick, sisters; Jennie and Mary, and many other family members and friends.

Visitation was held January 1, 2021, from the Chapel of NairnChyz-Wolkowski Funeral Home – Roblin, with a graveside service held later in the day, from Roblin District Cemetery, with Floyd Martins officiating. Those who so desire may make memorial donations, in memory of Bill, to the Roblin Recreation Department, for use in Roblin Minor Ball, Goose Lake Trail and the Roblin Swimming Pool.
