It is with broken hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Kimberly (Kim) Ludwig (Maliteare).
Kim was born on December 1, 1964, at Benito Hospital. In 1969 she started Kindergarten in Benito, Manitoba, in a private home with Mrs. Joan Macooh as her teacher. In 1970 Kim started Grade 1 in Roblin Intermediate School. In 1971, Kim was one of the students evacuated when the school was destroyed by fire. She continued attending Roblin Elementary School and later went to Roblin Comprehensive Secondary to grade eleven. Kim Transferred to Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School (DRCSS) to take Grade 12 and took a cosmetology course, graduating in 1983.
Now she was in the labor force, her first job was a Carol Cockerill’s Beauty Salon. She worked at various jobs, a waitress at Saturn Hotel for Ivan Blain, Roblin Food Store, Fields.
Kim found the love of her life right in Roblin and on August 6, 1988 Kim married Warren Ludwig. In the midst of the celebration, while they were standing in the doorway of the hall, a rainbow appeared behind them which remained a promising omen to them. Two weeks before her passing, she was driving home from Yorkton and saw a rainbow, she sent a text to Warren showing him the sight.
Kim and Warren moved to The Pas, Manitoba, where she attended Keewatin Community College taking a Health Care Aid Course and graduating with her diploma. They returned to Roblin where Kim got employment at Crocus Court Personal Care Home. She also worked in Homecare.
Kim and Warren were blessed with two boys, Christopher and Kyle, later joined by two girls, Dakota and Hayley. Kim was very excited when she and Warren were told they were going to be grandparents. She had purchased a cup and pair of small work gloves for the baby boy.
Kim is survived by her husband Warren, children Chris (Samantha) Kyle (Jessie) Dakota and Hayley, mother Bernice La Plante, sisters Sherry (Steve) and family and Shannon (Ray) and family. Aunts Phyllis, Melissa (Blair) and family Betty (Glen) and family Mona and family, Frank (Alice) and family and Don (Joan) and family.
Kim was predeceased by her father, Everett Maliteare, her maternal grandparents, Bessie and Nick Hubic, her paternal grandparents, Edna and Ed Maliteare, uncles Edwin and Bob Maliteare, and stepfather Frank La Plante.
She will be missed by her pets Jaz, Bear, Zoe and Crooks.
